Einsatz

Mahogany is often used as veneer. A distinction must be made between true mahogany and the widely used Sapele mahogany. Well-known species include Kosipo, Sapele, Sipo, and Tiama.

Eigenschaften

Reddish-brown to pinkish-brown, lighter in the sapwood. The wood can be somewhat difficult to work.

Oberfläche

Surface treatments are generally possible without problems. There are special mahogany stains.
